The Stage Door, Inc. in Yukon
is announcing auditions for their fifth and final show of the season,
“I Remember Mama,” by John van Druten, adapted from Kathryn Forbes'
“Mama's Bank Account.”
This is a wonderful, heart-warming
story about a mother’s love for her children, her home, and her entire
family. This story, in particular, features an immigrant Norwegian
family living in San Francisco at the turn of the century, but its theme
is universal.
This play calls for a large
cast of men, women, and children of all ages. In particular, there
are roles for 3 young girls, ages 6-17 approximately and at least
3 young men, ages 10-18. There are roles for 10 women and 6
men, all ages from early 20’s and up.
Auditions will be held at The
Stage Door on Monday and Tuesday, March 17 & 18 from 6:30
– 9:00 p.m. and will consist of cold readings from the script.
Come with a list of your schedule conflicts.
“I Remember Mama” is being directed by Candee Eischen.
Show dates are May 9, 10, 11,
16, 17, & 18. The Stage Door is located at 601 Oak St.
in Yukon. If you have questions, please call The Stage Door at
